FAQ's

What is Hatha Yoga?
A basic form of Yoga that involves postures, breath control, meditation and deep relaxation.

What is "Hot" Yoga?
It is a steady-paced form of Hatha Yoga, flowing from posture to posture with your breath performed in a heated room.  The additional heat inside and outside your body releases toxins promoting a healthier body and leaving you with a rejuvenated energetic feeling.  

How can I do Yoga when I’m not flexible?
Anyone can do Yoga. Modifications are taught to suit your body's needs. Yoga is all about being non-competitive and non-judgmental.

Who should practice Yoga?
Anyone who wants to enhance their life physically and mentally. People of all shapes and sizes and all faiths and beliefs practice Yoga.

What if I have pain or an injury?
Listen to your body and only do what feels right for you.  Yoga is not about pain.

What should I wear?
Lightweight, layered comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict movement.  We will practice in bare feet but socks can be wore during breath work and relaxation.  Changing rooms are available for your convenience.

Do I need to bring anything?
All equipment needed is provided free of charge. This includes mats, bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps.  If you have your own mat, please bring it.  If you wish to use our mats, we ask that you spray it down after use with disinfectent provided.
 
Do I need to take the Beginner Program if I have some experience?
Your experience should be discussed with an instructor to determine the proper class enrollment. 

 Is there parking?
There is plenty of free parking in the lot behind the building.

What if I'm running late or have to leave early?
If you are late don't worry about it. Come in quietly, take a deep breath and join us.
If you must leave early, please leave quietly before relaxation begins.  Relaxation is one of the most rewarding times of your practice and should be attended for your maximum benefit.  Leaving early is disruptive to the class and  should be avoided.

Do you accept credit cards?
No. Check or cash only.

Can I extend my Pass or transfer it to someone else or get a refund?
No.  All classes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-extendable.

Do I need to pre-register?
Yes. All students must fill out a registration form. The form can be found on the "Schedule" page. 

Can I "Drop-in" to a class? 
Yes. Anyone with some experience may Drop-in for a class. The Pay per class rate is $14. Those without experience are recommended to take the Beginner 3 week program.

How can I start as a Beginner if I'm unable to take the 3 Week Program?
Private sessions can be arranged by appointment for Beginner's as well.

Can my teenager come to class?
Yes. Anyone ages 13-18 yrs can attend class with parents or guardians signature on the waiver.  Yoga is especially beneficial for teen athletes to help prevent injuries and mentally stay in the game without distractions.
